1. Who we are
This website, pembrokeshirebathrooms.co.uk, is run by C&I Bathroom and Wet Room Specialists, a bathroom and wet room installation business based in Pembrokeshire, Wales. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean C&I Bathroom and Wet Room Specialists.
We are the data controller for the personal information we collect through this website. That means we decide how and why your information is used, and we're responsible for looking after it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we use your information, email us at info@pembrokeshirebathrooms.co.uk or call 07869 652935.
2. What information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill in our contact form, email us or phone us, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your email address and/or phone number
- Your town or village
- The type of work you're enquiring about
- Anything else you choose to tell us in your message, such as details about your bathroom or any access needs
If you tell us about someone else, for example a relative who needs a wet room adaptation, please only share what's needed and make sure they're happy for you to do so.
Information collected automatically
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, and roughly where you are (town or region level). This information doesn't tell us who you are.
Like most websites, our web server also keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the date and time of your visit) to keep the site secure and working properly.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- Reply to your enquiry and arrange a visit or quote
- Carry out work you've asked us to do, and keep in touch with you about it
- Keep records we're required to keep for tax and accounting purposes if you become a customer
We use analytics information to understand how people find and use our website so we can improve it.
We will never sell your personal information, and we don't add enquiry details to marketing or mailing lists.
4. Our lawful basis for using your information
Under UK data protection law we need a lawful reason to use your personal information. We rely on:
- Steps before entering a contract / performing a contract: when you ask us for a quote or we carry out work for you.
- Legitimate interests: responding to general enquiries, and protecting our website and contact form from spam and misuse.
- Legal obligation: keeping financial records we're required to keep by law.
- Consent: for analytics cookies. You can change your mind at any time (see section 6).
5. How we look after contact form enquiries
When you send our contact form, your message is emailed securely to us. It is not stored in a database on the website.
To protect the form from spam, we use Google reCAPTCHA (see section 6) along with other automated checks. These checks are only used to stop spam and abuse. They aren't used to profile you.
Only Craig and Ian have access to the enquiries we receive. We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. If you don't go ahead with any work, we delete them within 12 months. If you become a customer, we keep records of the work and invoices for 6 years, as required for tax purposes, and then delete them.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We keep their use to a minimum.
Essential
- Cookie preference: when you accept or decline cookies, we remember your choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask every time.
- Form security: a security cookie is set when you use the contact form to protect it against misuse.
- Google reCAPTCHA: used on the contact page to tell the difference between people and automated spam. Google may collect information such as your IP address and how you interact with the page for this purpose. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Analytics (only if you accept)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_*, which last for up to 2 years. Google Analytics is only loaded if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you decline, it isn't loaded at all.
Google processes this information on our behalf and may transfer it outside the UK, using safeguards approved under UK data protection law. You can read more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Changing your cookie choice
You can change your mind at any time:
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop the contact form working.
Fonts and icons
To display the site properly, we load fonts from Google Fonts and icons and styling files from trusted content delivery networks. When your browser requests these, the provider receives your IP address so the files can be delivered to you.
7. Who we share your information with
We only share your information where we need to, with:
- Our website developer and hosting provider, who host this site and our email securely
- Google, for analytics (if you consent) and reCAPTCHA
- Our accountant, if you become a customer, for bookkeeping and tax purposes
- Pembrokeshire County Council or other organisations, only where you've asked us to, for example when we carry out council-arranged adaptation work
We may also share information if we're required to by law.
8. Keeping your information safe
This website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, so information sent through the contact form is encrypted on its way to us. We take sensible steps to protect the information we hold, including password-protected devices and email accounts, and we only keep what we need.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that's wrong or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your information
- Ask us to restrict how we use your information
- Object to us using your information on the basis of legitimate interests
- Ask for your information in a format you can transfer to someone else
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it (for example analytics cookies)
To use any of these rights, email info@pembrokeshirebathrooms.co.uk. There's no charge, and we'll respond within one month. Some rights have legal exceptions. For example, we may need to keep invoices for tax purposes even if you ask us to delete them.
10. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first and we'll do our best to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Our website links to other sites, such as our Facebook page. We're not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how the website works. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
